Self-Help Hand Reflexology Videos

I would like to share this short video on how to perform reflexology on your own hands to help Manage Stress and Anxiety.

Please do have a go at it. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to answer them.

These moves can be performed as many times during the day as you need it. Whenever you notice that your mind goes into overdrive and your anxiety mounts just follow the steps above and feel your stress and tension melt away.

This is another hand reflexology video on how to Support Your Immune System.

And if you are having trouble falling or staying asleep here is a short hand reflexology sequence to follow to help you Sleep Better.

You can help your loved ones too by working on their hands. Ask them to give you feedback on the depth of pressure used and how it feels to them.

For the maximum benefit it is best to:
- find a quiet and peaceful place to carry out the moves and set aside at least 10-15 minutes for it (5-7 minutes on each hand)
- make sure you are sitting in a comfortable position, rest your hands on a cushion in a way that your shoulders and arms are relaxed
- concentrate on what you are doing and what/how you feel
- vary the pressure until you find the right one for you, please note that more pressure does not necessarily equal with greater benefit
- first give yourself a hand rub as if you were washing your hands but this time without water or soap
- first work with your dominant hand to really master the moves then change hands, spend the same amount of time on each hand
- repeat the moves as many times as you like
- at the end give yourself a nice hand massage using your favourite hand cream.

Do you suffer with tension or tightness in your neck?

This set of simple exercises will help you to release tight or tense muscles in the neck, shoulder and upper back area. A few repetitions of these will relax the affected area and initiate a release in the tight muscles. By the end of the day you should feel a marked improvement.

Visualization

I find Tai Chi and Qigong super relaxing. I practice on a regular basis and I particularly turn to these practices when my mind-body is off balance due to stress or very rarely, illness. They are my go-to wellbeing enhancing tools. They help me clear and calm my mind, regain my equilibrium and achieve my goals. They are very easy to do and are suitable for all abilities. The only requisite is an open mind and regular, dedicated practice. I invite you to try it for yourself!

In this audio recording I will guide you through a deeply relaxing Qigong visualisation practice called Breathing Into the Heels, or Full Body Breath.

The aim of this Daoist practice is to develop the Inner Elixir; to be able to enjoy a healthy, happy and long life.
This practice is suitable for all abilities and can be done in any comfortable position. It is designed to induce relaxation of the mind-body through deepening and lengthening your breath. It calms the mind, balances the emotions and promotes sound sleep. Regular, dedicated practice is encouraged to gain the most benefits.
At the end you will feel more grounded and balanced. You will also have a sensation of weightlessness, openness and your physical body will feel boundless. The quality of your inner energy will be reset.
Before practicing please make sure you are not hungry nor too full up.

Enjoy!

Foot Massage for Better Sleep

We all know how important it is to get a really good night's sleep. Some of us, however, are struggling to fall asleep constantly tossing and turning, or find we are unable to stay asleep because our mind is racing. Consequently, we miss out on good quality rest. Those of you who wake up in the morning feeling tired and low in energy or just not feeling yourself may find this practice beneficial. The only way to find out is to try it.
In this video, I combined a simple Qigong movement with a simple Reflexology technique to induce deep relaxation and set your body up for a smoother transition into a much needed deep sleep. I recommend you to do this practice for 5-10 minutes each night just before going to bed. With regular practice and perseverance, you will notice the difference in your sleep quality. Your body will function more efficiently, you will find that stress won't get to you as before and your feet will definitely appreciate the TLC.

Self - Massage or An Mo

Self - Massage or An Mo
A short, daily healthcare technique that should form an integral part of our routine. Easy to do and has a myriad of benefits as you will stimulate many acupressure points (that double up as reflexology points too) along the meridians on your head, face and ears. To finish off we will tap down the whole body so you can feel refreshed all around.
Self-massage is one of the five main therapeutic practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine: acupuncture, herbal remedies, qigong, dietary therapy and massage.
